Can I disarm the alarm with a text message?

You cannot disarm the alarm by entering your PIN code or secret word with a text (SMS) message. Entering PIN codes or typing secret words by SMS is generally not a safe or good practice as they can be intercepted and stollen.  SMS messages are only used to communicate with the monitoring center agents.
