The YI Type C to 3.5 mm adapter socket expects a 3 pole plug. Now, most of the microphones that work with laptops and cell phones are 4 pole plug, by the same token, the YI 4K plus camera only work with the 3 pole plug of the external microphone, so we have tested the YI 4K plus camera with 3 poles 3.5mm jack listed below and it works on the YI 4K plus.
