The highest burst shooting speed can be up to 5 images per second. However please note that the actual speed depends on the write speed of your memory card.
Burst shooting is suited for capturing split or important moments such as when your subject is moving in high speed, when taking an important group picture or when taking pictures of children making faces, etc.
