On the Home screen in the YI Home app, there are two modes at the top of the screen called Home and Away. The app works the same for iOS or Android.
When Home mode is enabled the person will not receive a notification to the phone or alert in the app.
To enable Away mode, a camera must be selected in the Home/Away Mode Setting. On the Home screen click on Discover. Then select Home/Away Mode. Select the camera and confirm. Click on Home. Now you can select Away mode.
When Away mode is enabled the person will receive a notification to the phone and alert to the app.
When there is motion in front of the camera, an alert will be sent to the app saying, “Alarm Triggered!” If you have a Kami base station installed the siren will sound an alarm. There are two options available, Home or See Details. If you click Home, it will switch back to Home mode. If you click on See Details, you will see a 6-second clip of the event with three options available. There is an option to call our 24/7 Emergency Response (Noonlight’s Certified Emergency Dispatchers), Home (switch to Home mode) or Stop Alert (stays in Away mode).
If a customer has a pin code they need to disable the pin code in order to switch between home and away mode. To disable the pin code go to the home screen in the app. Click on the camera and select Settings.
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and toggle off the PIN Protection. Enter your PIN (4 digit number). Now the PIN has been disabled. You can switch between Home and Away mode.
