Setting A Proper Camera Sensor Mount Angle

1. Camera Sensor Head Alignment

To properly align the camera sensor head with the body of the camera sensor carefully follow these instructions.

Make sure your camera sensor is centered correctly before installing. To check if your camera sensor is properly centered, check that the little LED light on the lens is centered between the two little buttons in the front and the h the notch of the camera.

Double check in the back if the green line on the camera sensor is centered with the center of the gray circle.

When mounting your camera sensor in a corner, on the ceiling, make sure to mount the camera sensor mount at a 45 degrees angle to the corner. This way, the camera is facing straight into the room and the head of the camera sensor does not need to be turned sideways as compared to the base.

If the camera sensor is going to be placed on a bracket on the wall, again, make sure that the camera sensor is facing in the direction that you want to capture and not just turn the head in that direction.

 

2. Camera Sensor Head Rotation

Please note that the head of your camera sensor should not be rotated horizontally, as this will change the angle of the view, and the AI model will see the floor as slanted.

When looking at the camera sensor head, the LED should line up with the notch of the camera sensor.

Check the image, to make sure the room of the room is not slanted.

If the view is slanted, re-align the camera sensor head with the body of the camera sensor. 

If you're not sure how to align your camera sensor head, check how to properly Set A Camera Sensor Mount Angle, and re-align your camera sensor head.

Once your camera sensor head is aligned, the camera sensor view of your room should be straight.

3. Vertical and Horizontal Tilt

Tilt the camera sensor head to the furthest back position before placing it on the mount.
